Life Questions
Once a month, on a Sunday evening at 5pm, we gather in our back hall for Life Questions, where we tackle one of the big questions about life, faith and God. The evenings include a complimentary buffet tea and refreshments. Each evening includes a short presentation addressing the question from a Christian perspective, and an interactive Q&A with the speaker taking questions from the audience via an online platform. Everyone is welcome to come along. Dates and questions for the spring are as follows:
Does God believe in aliens? - 11th October
Is Christianity still relevant? - 8th November
Courses
We often run informal video based courses designed for those who are interested in finding out about the Christian faith. We tend to run these on demand, so if you are interested in joining our next one, get in touch and let us know. These courses are ideal for addressing any questions you have about the Christian faith. No one is obliged to speak or contribute, though there are opportunities to discuss the videos and questions with other participants.
The 321 Course
Over four weeks, participants are invited to see life the way Jesus sees it. The course covers God's three-ness, the world's two-ness, and the one-ness we can have with God through Jesus. Videos are presented by Glen Scrivener.
Christianity Explored Courses
There are a selection of courses by Christianity Explored, including Hope Explored and Life Explored. The main course covers the whole of Mark's Gospel account in the Bible over seven weeks, including a little bit of reading with study questions to do in your own time. The course covers who Jesus is, what he came to do and what it means to follow him.
Membership
We encourage those who are Christians, baptised and committed to our church to become members of the church. This is a way of expressing our mutual commitment to each other, caring and praying for each other, holding each other accountable and making decisions together. As such, we have a formal membership process. If you are interested in becoming a member then please read the membership booklet and fill in the form.
Giving
The church is financially supported by our members and those who attend regularly. Collection boxes are at all the entrances to our main meeting room for cash giving. We also have the facility for people to give online. However, we do encourage those who wish to give regularly to set up a standing order with their bank.
For those who are UK taxpayers, you are able to make a gift aid declaration, which means we can claim an additional 25% on top of your gift.
